Lincoln School Tour, 11:30AM
Hidden away just miles from Elbert, Colorado is one of Elbert County’s best preserved one-room schoolhouses. Lincoln School District #42 was organized in 1909 and served the surrounding community for 36 years before consolidating into Elbert School in 1945. The present building was built in 1913 and is lovingly cared for and maintained by the Bob Gresham family.
A carpool to the Lincoln School will leave in front of the Elbert County Museum at 11:00 am, stopping briefly at the Elbert School parking lot at 11:15 am. The cost of the tour is $3.00 (kids 12 and under free with parent). RSVP here.
